Diversity & Inclusion in Your Brain

Why do we resist it?

Diversity and inclusion are the only obvious, kind, and fair ways to move forward in 2021, right?  The only problem is that your brain actually resists both of them.  The subconscious mind does not think morally or ethically about encounters with others.  It is focused on the practicality of your safety and comfort.  Unfortunately, it can be very convincing when it comes to how you feel about people with differences.

There are several ways in which we need to teach our brains to respond well to people with whom we are unfamiliar.  This discussion will enable us to engage and build relationships with others, regardless of our differences.

In this session:

1. Investigate the difference between your best intentions and your brain’s priorities.

2. Discover what triggers the resistant and protective side of your brain.

3. Learn the positive effect of embracing diversity both personally and professionally.

4. Comprehend how to wire a mindset that is attracted to the beauty of the unknown.
